Turbo Goldmouth Shells (Extra Large) x5

Turbo Goldmouth shells sized at approximately 5cm. These ones are large and therefore better for substantially sized Hermit Crabs. These shells have a large opening of approximately 2 - 3cm.

Commonly known as turbos or turbans, these shells are part of the Turbinidae family of marine gastropods found in indo-pacific seas.

They can also be used for aquarium decor on the bed, adding colour and texture to the reef as well as providing sanctuary for life such as copepods and amphipods.

In an established healthy aquarium there should always be a good selection of shells in the aquarium that are bigger than the occupied hermit crab shells.

Hermit Crabs regularly outgrow their current shell and will need a good choice of available shells in order to grow and facilitate the crab as it sheds and requires a larger shell.

Different types of Hermit Crabs will prefer different types of shell, so it's always a good idea to have a good variety of shells and sizes available.
