This particular macroalgae will be dispatched with a heat pack.
Dispatch days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only, as this will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24, any orders placed on or after a Wednesday, will be dispatched the following Monday. It's recommended to acclimatise macro algae as you would with any livestock.
Blue Ochtodes macroalgae is extremely delicate and fragile, it will often break up unless handled extremely delicately. This Macroalgae will change colour during shipping, blue ochtodes tends to go maroon or more likely grey. Once added to your aquarium it will regain natural colour after a week or two. This macro algae will attach itself easily to rockwork over time.
A great macroalgae for the Display Tank, where it will surely become fast a colourful highlight. The dense structure of this live algae offers good hiding space for copepods and rotifers.
This is a fairly slow growing macro algae, but under the right conditions and lighting it can grow relatively quickly, it's recommended to provide the macroalgae with bits of rock rubble that it can attach itself to.
Some fish such as Tangs and Butterfly fish as well as others, can make short work of this as they have a huge appetite for veggies. Recommended to know your tank inhabitants before purchasing.
