The common frog shell, scientifically known as Bufonaria rana or sometimes Bursa rubeta, is a sturdy, knobby marine gastropod from the Bursidae family. Found in the Indo-Pacific, these shells are popular with collectors for their warty, brown-patterned surface and creamy, often apricot-colored interiors.
These shells are quite large, measuring between 6 - 8 cm from point to point. Therefore, these are more likely to be more suitable for larger hermit crab species.
