1 x Screw Shell (Turritella terebra) Extra Large.
Turritella terebra is a species of marine sea snail in the family Turritellidae, commonly known as the screw shell, great screw shell or unicorn horn shells.
Long, narrow, needle-sharp tower or drill-like shape with up to 30 tight whorls on the largest of specimens.
Sculpted with horizontal cord ridges and patterned in shades of sandy brown, ivory, beige, and orange.
These shells measure approximately 10 - 12 cm in length from point to point with an opening of about 1 - 2 cm.
Give your hermit crabs a beautiful, secure new home with these premium, natural Turritella tower shells (also known as Screw or Auger shells). Featuring a uniquely elongated, multi-whorled spiral shape, these shells offer excellent deep-interior protection. They are especially loved by species that prefer narrow, deep cavities or have slightly elongated bodies.
Each shell features a stunning natural pattern ranging from creamy whites to dark tan and purplish-brown spiral bands.
Hermit crabs regularly change their shells as they grow, and some will prefer a certain type of shell over others, therefore it's a good idea to have a selection of shells available of varying shapes and sizes.
