The striated cone shell (Conus striatus) is a large, predatory marine snail shell belonging to the family Conidae.

The shells feature an elongated, slim, straight-sided shell irregularly clouded with pinkish-white and chestnut or chocolate-brown markings. It gets its name from the fine, close parallel lines (striae) that revolve around its body.

The pointed spire is patterned (tessellated) with white and brown/chocolate markings, featuring rounded shoulders and deep sutures.

These shells are a much larger cone shell and therefore will only suit certain types of hermit crabs. The shells measure approximately 8 - 10 cm with a large opening of about 6 - 8 cm.

Give your hermit crabs a stunning, natural upgrade with these hand-selected, beautifully patterned cone snail shells (Conus striatus). Featuring intricate chocolate-brown and cream geometric patterns, these shells make an eye-catching addition to any environment while providing a durable, robust refuge for your growing hermits.

Highly favored by specific marine and terrestrial species—particularly Halloween Hermit Crabs (Ciliopagurus strigatus) and other varieties that naturally thrive in D-shaped, elongated shell openings.

Ideal as growth options inside your crabitat, or as premium micro-landscape decoration for fish tanks, aquariums, and terrariums.

Hermit crabs regularly change their shells as they grow, and some will prefer a certain type of shell over others, therefore it's a good idea to have a selection of shells available of varying shapes and sizes.
