The shell in the photos is the actual specimen that you will receive. The 1cm cube in the photos is for scale, the size of the shell is approximately 10cm x 5cm.

Natural white Murex shell with a pink flush opening. One extra large shell for use as aquarium decor or aquascaping, adding colour and texture to the reef as well as providing sanctuary for life such as copepods and amphipods.

Positioned in certain ways within the aquarium, having a large opening on the shell, it could possibly also give smaller fish and creatures such as shrimps, somewhere safe to be their own territory within the aquarium.

Murex is the name given to a group of medium to large sized carnivorous tropical sea snails. Many of the species are found in Indo-Pacific waters in intertidal zones among rocks. Murex sea shells are varied shades of white, this one having a flush pink colour inside instead of the normal white.
