Green Troca shells (Tectus fenestratus) or (Trochus niloticus) are natural conical spiral shells that feature spiral, textured ridges with colors in green, brown, white, and grey, measuring typically 3-6 cm.
The name troca refers to how the shell rotates on its own axis, from the Greek word trokhoeides - meaning wheel like.
The shells are common in indo-pacific regions, and many have a thick inner layer of nacre (mother of pearl) which is exposed on polished troca shells.
These particular shells are classed as medium and will measure between 2 - 4cm with an opening of about 1 - 2cm.
